While waiting for a strap I ordered for the Tissot I decided to try to make a leather strap for my Seiko 5. This is inspired by some flieger style watches I have seen on the web. The new full grain leather looks a bit dull, but I am looking forward to see it develop a nice patina.
That looks great! I just picked up a speedy stitcher and some basic leatherworking tools in order to shorten a couple belts I bought on the cheap. I was trying to think of other simple projects to take on once I finish the belts, as it's been fun tinkering around working with leather. I think a custom watch strap might be my next fun project! thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you both. Yes a tutorial would have been great, but I tend to bee too absorbed in the work when I do things like this. I will try to make up for that in the future.
